Jackie Oudney Signs to Hotspur and Argyle
We are delighted to announce that the brilliant Jackie Oudney has joined the directors’ roster here at Hotspur and Argyle.
Jackie’s flair for comedy and her ability to extract brilliant performances from actors – notably child actors – is renowned the world over. She has created arresting and memorable films for high-profile brands including Volkswagen, BBC, Philips, B&Q and Monarch, reliably delivering fantastic performances with impeccable attention to detail.
Jackie’s work has won clutches of prestigious, international awards for her commercial work including a Silver Lion at Cannes, a silver D&AD pencil, several BTAA arrows and a gold Promax Europe award.
Jackie’s first feature ‘French Film’, a very grown-up British comedy starring Hugh Bonneville, Eric Cantona and Anne-Marie Duff was enthusiastically received, picking up two major awards at the Monte-Carlo Film Festival for Best Actor and Best Screenplay. In addition, her two short films ‘Vagabond Shoes’ with its powerful performance by Iain Glen and ‘Station’ have also won prizes including the Kodak / BAFTA Short Film Showcase and two BAFTA nominations.
